Scholarship

Candidates can apply for an ERASMUS MUNDUS scholarship.

1. Erasmus Mundus Category A scholarship:

Eligible candidate:

any candidate who comes from a Third Country, who is not resident nor has carried out a main activity (studies, work, etc …) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of the country of the 27 EU Member States, Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein.

The amount of money awarded to Category A Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipients will be:

• Monthly allowance: € 1,000 / month
• Contribution to travel, installation and any other type of costs: € 4,000/ year

In addition to the contribution to travel and monthly allowance, the Scholarship includes a contribution to the EMMC participation costs, i.e. € 4,000 / semester corresponding to the mandatory contribution to the NEURASMUS tuition fees and insurance coverage.

2. Erasmus Mundus Category B scholarship:

Eligible candidate: 

‘Category B applicant’, as defined by the European Commission, is:

1. any candidate from the 27 European Union (EU) Member States and EEA-EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway),
2. any candidate from Third Country who do not belong to the Category A, i.e. who is resident or has carried out a main activity (studies, work, etc …) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in one of the country of the 27 EU Member States, Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein = 12-month rule.

The amount of money awarded to Category B Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipients will be:

• Monthly allowance: € 500 / month
• Contribution to travel, installation and any other type of costs (in case of a mobility to Laval University ONLY): € 3,000

In addition to the contribution to travel and monthly allowance, the Scholarship includes a contribution to the EMMC participation costs, i.e. € 2,000 / semester corresponding to the mandatory contribution to the NEURASMUS tuition fees and insurance coverage.
