Research programs
We have set up many national and international research platforms and consortia to organize our various advanced research activities, including those of coordinating ENC-Network Institutes. Affiliated FP7 funded large scale collaborative projects coordinated by ENC Network Institutes, include:
NeuroCypres (coordinator in Neuroscience Campus Amsterdam)
The NeuroCypres consortium, a large-scale integrated project involving 20 European laboratories in the area of Cys-loop neurotransmitter receptors funded by the European Union as of February 1, 2008 – see: www.neurocypres.eu
SynSys (coordinator in Neuroscience Campus Amsterdam)
The SynSys consortium which aims at molecular analysis of synapse function and dynamic modeling. The perspective is to generate a blueprint for the discovery of novel pathways and targets that enable rational strategies to design therapies for human brain disease. SynSys is funded by the EU and will run from July 2010 until July 2014 – see: www.synsys.eu
EuroSpin (coordinator in ENI – Gottingen)
The EuroSpin Consortium which performs systematic functional analyses of synaptic genes implicated in human brain disorders by using mouse and in vitro models. Eurospin is funded by the EU and will run from Januari 2010 until Januari 2014 – see: www.eurospin.mpg.de
