About ENC
Seven academic institutes and affiliated industrial partners
The ENC academic home institutes all have a long and established track record in PhD training in the field of Preclinical and Clinical Neurosciences. Together they have established the socalled European Neuroscience Campus Network (ENC Network). The ENC network consortium has previously successfully collaborated to promote young group leaders in the field of Neuroscience, within the Network of European Neuroscience Institutes (ENI-Net). In addition we have used our previous collaborations as the ‘stepping stone’ to outline a common strategy.
Acquisitions
The present partner-home institutes were selected on the basis of their outstanding publication records and ability to integrate different disciplines traditionally already being embedded in the various MSc- and PhD-programs of the respective institutes. Our first major success in 2009-2010 was the award of a socalled Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate (EMJD) program. In the 2010-2011 we were rewarded with an Eramus Mundus Master Course (EMMC) grant. Additional initiatives include two major International Training Networks (Marie Curie programs), participation in several FP7 consortia and new initiatives in the field of MSc, MD-and PhD training.
